Salman Khan will star in the sequel ‘Phir Tere Naam’

Salman Khan’s recent film ‘Jaanemann’ received mixed reviews from critics; nonetheless the actor did receive good reviews for his performance in the film. Salman was recently seen walking the ramp at the music launch of Baabul along with the other stars of the film and his clothes were designed by sister Alvira. Salman was also seen at the Lakme Fashion Week cheering for both his sister-in-laws Seema Khan whose creations were being shown at the event and Malaika Arora Khan who was seen walking the ramp as Seema’s showstopper. And yet again Salman walked the ramp for designer Sanjana Jon along with Miss Universe Zuleyka Rivera.
Salman seems to be walking the ramp quite often and is seen as a style icon, however when he walked the ramp for designer Sanjana Jon, he claimed that he knows nothing about fashion and is generally comfortable in torn jeans and T shirts. Salman also promoted Aids awareness at the fashion show. He urged everybody, including the youth to be safe and use protection. He claimed that people who had acquired Aids should not be treated badly but instead with love and affection. He urged people to get tested for Aids regularly as that would ensure that they have longer and happier lives. Salman has also done a film ‘Phir Milenge’ where he enacts the role of an Aids victim.

Apart from walking the ramp, Salman is also interested in starring in the sequel to his hit film ‘Tere Naam’. The film was appreciated by the masses and Salman’s fans and hence in keeping with the trend of sequels, the producers now want to make a sequel ‘Phir Tere Naam’. In the earlier part, the film ended with Salman opting to go back into the mental asylum as he is deeply affected by the death of his ladylove. The sequel will supposedly have Salman coming out of the asylum and finding out how the world around him has changed. The prequel was directed by Satish Kaushik and also starred Bhoomika Chawla. Although the star cast for the sequel apart from Salman has not been decided, it is rumoured that Satish may also direct the sequel.

According to sources Salman came up with the idea of making a sequel to ‘Tere Naam’ and producers Sunil Manchanda and Mukesh Talreja immediately agreed with the idea. Producer Manchanda says “It’s not yet fully confirmed if we will make the sequel to ‘Tere Naam’ but we are definitely toying with the idea and are currently working on the script. But if the script excites us, we will definitely go ahead with it.” Tere Naam was promoted as a true love story and was based on the Tamil film Sethu. Salman will soon be seen in Baabul, Salaam-E-Ishq and is also slated to do guest appearances in a film on call centers and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Saawariya .
