Salman Khan to present Rs 1,01,000 to each Olympic athletes

Salman Khan possesses a great heart and when he has to gift something to someone, he present it with big heart and full hands. Being the Goodwill brand ambassador of Rio Olympics, Salman Khan has decided to present each athletes a cheque of Rs 1,01,000 as a gesture of appreciation.

The ‘Sultan’ superstar made the announcement on his Facebook profile#As a gesture of appreciation for our Olympic athletes, I will present each one with a cheque of Rs1,01,000. The government is very supportive of sports . Each of us can also do our bit to encourage a sports nation . I admire the work that Olympic Gold Quest (OGQ) is doing to shape tmrw's champions . And also companies like Edelweiss, Jio and others who have come forward to support the Olympics.

When Salman Khan was announced as the brand ambassador of Rio Olympics, he drew lots of flak for his no association with sports. With only counted days left  for the tournament to get over, Indian’s Sakshi Malik brought pride to the country by winning a bronze in wrestling.

In a series of tweets, Salman Khan applauded the Government for supporting sports

#The government is very supportive of sports . Each of us can also do our bit to encourage a sports nation .

#I admire the work that Olympic Gold Quest (OGQ) is doing to shape tmrw's champions .

# And also companies like Edelweiss, Jio and others who have come forward to support the Olympics.

On the work front, Salman Khan is busy shooting for Kabir Khan's 'Tubelight'. He has just wrapped up Ladakh shooting schedule. He plays a soldier in the film.
