Salman Khan to help 100 kids with heart disease

While his films can be criticized for being over the top and some of his real life actions may come under intense scrutiny, no one can deny that when it comes to philanthropy it is very difficult to beat Salman Khan. The actor, who is known equally for his hot head and his large heart, has decided to give his ‘Eidi’ (charity made on the festival of Eid) in a grand scale. The ‘Dabaang’ star announced on Twitter that through his organization ‘Being Human’ he will help to treat 100 kids with critical heart conditions.

Salman posted, “If any kids on FB ya twitter who has a heart condition n can't afford to get it treated, B H vil get 100 genuine patients treated.” However he also warned against fraud in another Tweet, “lekin bevakoof nahi banane ka ( but don't fool me). So twitter, FB par bata dena (write it on Twitter, Facebook), the digital, BH team vil take care of it. Thank (sic)."

While he is often termed a ‘bad boy’ of the Bollywood industry because of his volatile nature, he never fails to show affection to fans or commitment towards charity. Recently he even slapped his bodyguard in public for hitting a fan. The incident happened at the famous Mehboob Studios in Bandra, Mumbai.

Salman was shooting for his film 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ at the studios and some fans came there to meet him. The actor who always indulges his fans made no exception this time as well and started interacting with them. He also obliged them by clicking photos and signing autographs. During the impromptu photo session, a fan tried to wrap his arms around the superstar. One of Salman’s bodyguards tried to push the fan away and hit his arm in the process. This enraged the actor and he slapped the bodyguard and warned him not to treat his fans this way.

Another instance of Salman’s generosity has also come to light recently. Salman was in Poland for a long schedule for ‘Kick’. During his stay, Salman was requested by Krzysztof Solek, the president of Film Polska, to meet a female fan who was terminally ill. Salman quickly agreed but added that there should be no media presence. Sources informed that Salman later met the girl Agnieszka. They chatted for a while and took pictures together. Salman also signed one of the photos for the fan.
