Salman Khan to be a part of ‘Race 3’?
Post his blockbuster ‘Sultan’, superstar Salman Khan has begun shooting for Kabir Khan’s directorial. ‘Tubelight’. Thereafter, he will team up with his ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ director Rajkumar Santoshi for a film which will be produced by himself with the help of his brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri.
Now, if reports are to be believed, Salman will also be a part of ‘Race 3’. A report in DNA stated that the ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ actor loved the script of the action thriller and is eager to sign it.
"Salman has recently read the script and is quite keen on taking up ‘Race 3’. In fact, he is almost on the verge of signing on the dotted line in the next few days," the popular publication quotes a source as saying.
In a career spanning over two decades, Salman has never played a negative character. Reports suggested that the actor has been offered the role of the main antagonist in the third instalment of the hit franchise and Salman will be seen essaying a character with grey shades in ‘Race 3’.
On the other hand, contradictory reports stated that Salman will be replacing Saif Ali Khan as the protagonist of the film. Saif has been the face of the successful ‘Race’ franchise, but he won’t be a part of the third film in the series as he is expecting a child with wife Kareena Kapoor, reports suggested.
An official confirmation regarding Salman being a part of ‘Race 3’ has not been made yet.
Meanwhile, ‘Race’ series producer Ramesh Taurini had earlier told a leading daily that the ‘Phantom’ actor will reprise his role in ‘Race 3’. “Saif shall definitely be in the film, but the rest of the cast is yet to be decided. We'll be able to finalise the rest of the cast, only once the script is in place."
Race 3’ is in its scripting stage and the team is reportedly taking time looking at ideas and elements that make great content and offer something new to the audience.
