Salman snubbed at Hyderabad airport
Recently Salman Khan was invited as a special guest for the inauguration of Hyderabad's new international airport which will be named after the late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. Several other special guests including VIP's and politicians were preset at the function. However sources claim that after being personally invited by the organisers, Salman was rudely ignored and snubbed at the event.
Actress Dia Mirza was hosting the event and there was extremely tight security due to the presence of a number of VIP's and politicians. Salman arrived punctually at 3 pm, the time that he was given, however Sallu apparently had to just wait around for the event to start as the chief guest Sonia Gandhi and other important politicians had not yet arrived. Salman waited for around one and half hour before the event actually began. Meanwhile no special arrangements were made for Salman at all, he was not even asked to sit up front where all the special guests were seated. On the contrary, he was made to sit in the sixth row, but nonetheless the actor patiently waited. Even after the event took off, no mention of Salman's name was made on stage, nor was he asked to come up on stage. So a disappointed Sallu simply sat around for three hours whiling away his time and then left. A source claims "It was simply ridiculous. If you call such a big personality like Salman and then don't even acknowledge his presence, then why call him at all? This is simply not done to a star like him."
However Salman seemed to take the entire incident quite lightly and did not throw any tantrums at all. He simply sat by on the sidelines, waited for three hours and then quietly left when his time was up to catch his flight. Well it is indeed surprising that Salman, a huge celebrity was ignored and snubbed with such rudeness. No doubt the politicians and VIP's were important people, but Salman too is one of the biggest celebs in the film industry.
