Salma Aaga Khan’s daughter Sasha to debut opposite Arjun Kapoor
Salma Aaga Khan’s daughter Sasha is all set to debut opposite Arjun Kapoor. Pakistani singer Salma Aaga’s daughter Sasha Aagha is going to make her debut in Aditya Chopra movie ‘Aurangzeb’. Everyone remembers Salma for the song ‘Dil Ke Armaan’ from the movie ‘Nikaah’. Her acting skills also were magnificent.
Speaking on Sasha the spokesperson of YRF movies said, “Sasha will have a glam outing in ‘Aurangzeb’. Other details will be revealed at the right time.”
It’s thought that Sasha would imbibe the great legacy
of her ancestors. Its origins are well into the 30s and 40s when
Salma’s grandfather and grandmother acted in the movie ‘Heer Ranjha’
in 1932. It was a much celebrated movie in those days. Salma’s mother
Nashreen was thought as one of the most beautiful actresses in Asia. She acted
in the magnum
opus ‘Shahjahan’, opposite the legendary K. L
Saigal. His father was a billionaire. He was from a rich aristocratic
family in Iran, who were in the business of Persian carpets. The respect
that he commanded gave the family the title of ‘Aagha’. A much coveted
title which means ‘Sir’ in English.
Immediately she was signed in for the role. She however quit movies after marriage to famous Pakistani squash player Rahmat Khan. A source close to the movie said, “The Chopras have a close association with Salma Aagha. Aditya (Chopra) is personally investing time and energy to come up with the perfect look for Sasha in ‘Aurangzeb’. Just like her mother, Sasha too has amazing singing abilities, but as of now she has no plans of her to sing in films.”
‘Aurangzeb’ is being directed by first time director, Atul Sabarwal. Besides Sasha the film has a cast of Boney Kapoor’s son Arjun Kapoor, Rishi Kappor, Amrita Singh and Jackie Shroff.
Sasha had earlier made news for being involved
in an MMS scandal with Ruslaan Mumtaz. Her passionate kiss with him had
reportedly gone viral. However she is now working hard with rigorous
workouts and
dance classes. Hope she too mesmerizes us like
her mother.
