Salim Khan, Helen, Waheeda Rahman watch ‘Simmba’

Rohit Shetty’s ‘Simmba’ starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan made a whopping collection at the box-office. The cop drama has already crossed 100 crore club in five days and still unstoppable. Rohit Shetty has arranged a special screening of the movies for the veterans of the industry.

The screening was attended by Salman Khan's father Salim Khan, his wife Salma Khan and HelenWaheeda Rehman. Rohit Shetty was seen receiving them at the venue.

Helen looked graceful in a suit, Waheeda Rahman also looked fresh as ever in a Sari. 

On the fifth days, the action-drama collected Rs 124.54 crore. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted on Wednesday and wrote: “#Simmba starts 2019 with a big bang... Runs riot at the BO on Day 5 [1 Jan 2019]... Is truly UNSTOPPABLE... Ranveer’s fourth film to cross Rs 100 cr mark... Fri 20.72 cr, Sat 23.33 cr, Sun 31.06 cr, Mon 21.24 cr, Tue 28.19 cr. Total: Rs 124.54 cr. India biz.”

Not only in the domestic market, ‘Simmba’ did a stupendous business in the international market as well. “#Simmba is super-strong in international markets... 4-day Overseas total is close to 40 cr... Day 1: $ 1.884 mn Day 2: $ 1.590 mn Day 3: $ 1.492 mn Day 4: $ 779k Total: $ 5.745 mn [ 39.85 cr],” Adarsh had tweeted on Tuesday.

Rohit Shetty, who is known for his signature style and termed as 100 crore director kept his tag of 100 crore director intact this time as well. ‘Simmba’ is his 8th film to cross 100 crore benchmark.

In ‘Simmba’, Ranveer plays a corrupt cop but he transforms after a woman whom he knows is raped. Sara Ali Khan plays his love interest while Sonu Sood plays an antagonist.
