Salaam-E-Ishq stars walk the ramp for music launch


Salaam-E-Ishq has a huge and glamorous starcast with six popular actors and actresses as couples. The film has been directed by Nikhil Advani and stars Salman Khan-Priyanka Chopra, John Abraham-Vidya Balan, Anil Kapoor-Juhi Chawla, Govinda, Anjana Sukhani, Akshaye Khanna-Ayesha Takia and Sohail Khan-Isha Koppikar. Recently all the six star couples were seen walking down the ramp in some of the finest outfits for the music launch of the film. The music launch was held in an unusual fashion and was quite interesting.
The event was hosted by Salman’s gal Katrina Kaif who looked absolutely gorgeous in a yellow sari. She joked with the audiences saying “When I learnt that Nikhil Advani was making a film, I approached him for a role in it. But he assured me that we’d work some day. Nikhil did approach me, but to host this show.” Music composers for the film, Shankhar, Ehsaan and Loy then took the stage and began belting out some wonderful numbers from the film and the stars also walked the ramp to the main theme song of the film. The choreography where each of the couples walked the stage was a pleasant change as it saw them in their casual and personal style. Everyone looked absolutely stunning in black outfits. Vidya Balan looked simply pretty in a black Indian outfit as did Juhi Chawla. Priyanka chose to display a black western outfit with a funny looking cap. This was the first time actor Govinda was seen walking the ramp and he received plenty of applause and cheers. Director Nikhil Advani also joined his cast on stage and spoke a few words about his film.

The audiences were given a treat when a trailer of the film was aired. The audiences also included some well known names in the industry like Jaya Bachchan, Salman’s family-mother Salma and little sis Arpita Khan, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Rajkumar Hirani, Rohan Sippy etc. Salaam-E-Ishq is slated to be released on 26 January, 2007 and the film has several different love stories set in different parts of the world but which have a single similar culmination.
