Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor are currently in Ladakh shooting for their forthcoming film Tashan. While shooting out there, both Kareena and Saif decided to take a break and have lunch at a local restaurant. While the actors were in the restaurant, fans of the two got to know of their presence and gathered outside to meet them. The fans insisted on meeting the actors but when Saif and Kareena refused they got abusive and violent. The bodyguards accompanying the actors refused to let the fans near the stars and got into a scuffle with a localite and roughed him up. This further angered the crowds and they began pelting stones at the restaurant. Actor Saif then decided to go outside and try and placate the mob. However when Saif went outside the crowds refused to be pacified and instead began hurling insults and abuses at him. This enraged Saif further and he too ended up getting into a scuffle with some of the local boys who hurled abuses at him. Saif’s bodyguard too intervened and ended up being seriously injured. Saif’s bodyguard was later rushed to a nearby local clinic along with Kareena’s bodyguard who sustained four stitches. The restaurant manager and his staff finally had to bring the matter under control.
A source who was present during the altercation between Saif and the local people says “Saif got into a scuffle with local hooligans who claimed to be their fans. When Saif and Kareena refused to meet them, they created major chaos. Saif was infuriated when they started hurling abuses at them.” Saif who rarely loses his cool especially with fans was furious. Later however when the brawl was brought under control, director Vijay Acharya asked his actors not to loiter around the local area too much and also increased the security for the stars.
Tashan is a Yash Raj Film and stars Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Amisha Patel and Anil Kapoor. The shooting schedule fortunately has not been disrupted and is carrying on smoothly.
