Saif, Riteish, Ram Kapoor on 'Dance India Dance Li'l Masters'

The Sajid Khan directed ‘Humshakals’ is nearing its release. This comedy flick stars Saif Ali Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Esha Gupta, Tamannaah Bhatia, Bipasha Basu and Ram Kapoor. The three male leads will play triple roles. Since the release is near, the promotion of the film is in full swing. Sajid Khan’s last film ‘Himmatwala’ was a massive failure both critically and commercially. As a result Sajid is leaving no stones unturned this time. He and the cast members of the film recently appeared on the sets of the popular dancing reality show, 'Dance India Dance Li'l Masters' during its grand finale. They had a good time interacting with the contestants and audience members. They urged everyone to go and watch the film. Promoting soon to be released films on popular television shows have become the norm these days. From industry newcomers to established superstars, everyone follows this practice nowadays.

Sajid had actually appeared on the show last month. On that occasion, only Tamannah and Esha Gupta had accompanied him. Sajid promised that he and the full cast will be back for the finale, “I have started off the film’s promotion today (Monday) with the two ladies first. Then, in the DID finale, that will happen June 15, you will see the entire cast of my film.” For some reason, Bipasha Basu was absent from both the episodes.

Sajid, the brother of popular choreographer turned director Farah Khan, so far has a good track record in his direction career. His first film as director was ‘Heyy Babyy’. He later went on to deliver hits like the ‘Housefull’ franchise.  Sajid had few things to say about his new film, “I would like to say that please go and enjoy Humshakals. It is a new concept, which is the result of my mad mind. It has three Saif, three Riteish and three Ram Kapoor, the beautiful Tamannah, Esha and Bipasha.” He further added, “You will see Satish Shah in a very funny role after a long time. Then Chunky Pandey who has become a favorite.”

The film ‘'Humshakals’ is being considered as a reboot of the Gulzar directed 1982 classic Bollywood comedy, ‘Angoor’. The film had Sanjeev Kumar and Deven Verma in the lead roles. Interestingly, director Rohit Shetty has also expressed his desire to remake the film with Shahrukh Khan and Vivek Oberoi. ‘Angoor’ was in turn inspired by William Shakespeare’s famous play ‘Comedy of Errors’.
