Saif Ali KhanSaif Ali Khan has been finalised for the next Tips film, to be directed by Abbas-Mustan. The film, which is untitled, will have two heroes and three heroines.
Said Ramesh Taurani of Tips, “Saif suited the role and we haven’t signed him going by his recent success. After Fida, we have taken our time choosing the right story, and are really excited about this one.”
Aata kya Khandala?

Speaking from Khandala, where they were scripting an Ashtavinayak-produced film, starring Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgan, Abbas-Mustan said, “The Tips film is a story of two brothers who are out to outwit each other. Saif will play the elder brother.”

Shiraz Ahmed (Humraaz, Aitraaz) has penned the script of the film, which Abbas-Mustan say will be as stylish as their other films.

Name game

The Tauranis, Ramesh and Kumar, are talking to two heroes for the younger brother’s role. “We can’t disclose their names yet. Let one of them get finalised, then we’ll talk,” said the directors, who are also unwilling to reveal the heroines under consideration.

“We are talking to a lot of girls; it would be unfair to name them now, raking up unnecessary controversy for those who are not selected.”

One-two ka three!

But why three girls for two guys? “That’s the most interesting thing about the plot, and its twists and turns. We are looking at shooting the entire film in Australia. We will start somewhere in the first half of 2006.”

The Ashtavinayak film, a two-hero, single heroine project written by Neeraj Vohra, is planned for a March take-off. The heroine may be finalised by this weekend. “This film will be a story based on a robbery,” said the director duo.

Sixty and done

Currently, Abbas-Mustan are busy with Mukta Arts’ 36, China Town (with Akshaye Khanna, Kareena Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor and Upen Patel). Sixty per cent of the Subhash Ghai flick is complete and the remaining portions will be shot in Mumbai.

“We may go abroad for one song; we plan to complete the film by December latest,” they said.
