Kareena to host Saif Ali Khan's birthday party in London
Saif Ali Khan is heading to London to ring in his birthday with his college friends in London. His begun and Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor will join Saif on August 16 and celebrate together. Saif will celebrate the D-day with his friends and Kareena at the 600-year-old Winchester College in Winchester, Hampshire, England.
Confirming this, Kareena told Mirror, "Saif's (Ali Khan) birthday is on
August 16. I have planned a party for him in London where he has a lot of
friends." The actor will turn 44on August 16.
After returning from London, the couple will fly off to Italy in a couple of days. "Just in case Italy doesn't materialise, we plan to go to France," informs Kareena, adding with a smile, "Saif and I love spending quality time with each other. Bahut dinon se hum kahin bahar nahin gaye saath saath."
Post his birthday celebration, Saif along with Kareena and his mother Sharmila Tagore will drive to London for India-England Test series to hand over the Pataudi trophy . The final match (August 15-19) will be held at Manchester's Old Trafford. The trophy is named after the Pataudi cricketing family and is awarded to the winner.
Says Kareena, "My mother-in-law will be giving away the Pataudi trophy, but has asked Saif and me to do the honours with her. For me it's a prestigious thing to even attend the event. She (Sharmila), for us, is still the original begum and always will be. I am very excited about it. Saif wanted to celebrate his birthday with his friends this time. We have more than a month to spend time by ourselves and go somewhere exotic later, as our shootings are over – my next film will start in October, while he is just completing Happy Ending. After Winchester, we go to London to give away the Pataudi Trophy."
Saif says, "My mother has asked me to give the trophy but I think she should. It's up to her."
After coming back from holiday, Kareena will start shooting ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ with Salman Khan and Saif will kick-start the shooting of Reema Kagti's melancholy love story, co-starring Kangana Ranaut.
