Rishi and Neetu Kapoor's daughter Riddhima to wed
The Kapoor clan is gearing up for a mega celebration next year — Neetu and Rishi Kapoor’s daughter Riddhima is set to wed a Delhi businessman early next year.
We quiz the charming Neetu Kapoor on the news; she doesn’t deny it but isn’t willing to reveal too much.
“It’s true. God willing, Riddhima will be getting married in January next year.” The Kapoors want to keep the whole thing quiet and shielded from the public eye, because the wedding is still a long time away
It’s obviously a love marriage. So who’s the bridegroom? “His name is Bharat Sahni. He is from a business family which is into garments.
Riddhima and Bharat have known each other for years. Initially, they were friends.
Some time ago, Riddhima came to me and said she wanted to marry him. We were in Delhi at the time and we met his parents and finalised everything.
He is a very good guy, her in-laws-to-be are wonderful people and Riddhima will be marrying into a wonderful family.
What more could parents want? Rishi and I are extremely happy about the match,” gushes the proud mother.
Riddhima’s brother Ranbir will soon be making his acting debut (he assisted Sanjay Leela Bhansali during the making of Black). Adds Neetu, “Ranbir is still young, there’s still time.”
And, but what about Riddhima? Didn’t she harbour acting aspirations?
“No,” says her mother, “Riddhima never had any aspirations towards joining the film industry; she never wanted to be an actress.
In fact, she never watches movies. Ranbir and she are total opposites. While Riddhima is totally non-filmi (she only likes horror movies like Naina) Ranbir loves all kinds of films.”
