RGV calls Chiranjeevi 'mega dumb', later apologises

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma made an apology to superstar Chiranjeevi’s fans after the former made an unpleasant comment on Chiranjeevi when his comeback film ‘Khaidi No 150’ is announced.

The Satya director wrote on his Twitter handle, "It's 636 times Mega dumb to title a film khaidi No.150 when already his film khaidi no.786 released 28 years earlier." When his comment drew flak, the director later deleted the tweet.

Soon after the release of the first look poster of ‘Khaidi No 150’, Ram Gopal Varma apologised to fans of the megastar and went on record to praise Chiranjeevi’s look and tweeted that the film would be a blockbuster.

"After seeing this look i want to apologizes to all his fans for whatever criticism I made in the past on his 150th," he tweeted after the star's first look and special teaser from the movie was out on the occasion of his 61st birthday.

"Best look of MegaStar in his entire Career.Super classy-Super Intense With this pic Khaidi No.150 title ROCCCCKS!" read his next tweet.

"Mega Star's Look is Amazingly Mindblowing...Looks Like A Sure Shot Block Buster..Million Cheers," he wrote in another tweet.

'Kaidi No. 150' will be Chiranjeevi's comeback to the big screen in a lead role after ten years. This will also mark the actor's 150th film project.

His last lead role was in 2007's 'Shankar Dada Zindabad.'

'Khaidi No 150' is a remake of Vijay-starrer Tamil film 'Kaththi' and is scheduled to release next year.
