Main Hoon NaShah Rukh Khan with a dash of retro panache? Well that’s the recipe ace choreographer Farah Khan’s whipping up for you, with her debut directorial feature Main Hoon Na. King Khan’s bell-bottoms and straight-brushed hair – as also Zayed Khan’s long locks, bandana for...
...effect – have already given you that whiff in the teasers airing on the idiot box.

But that’s not all. As an entertainer, the buffs can indulge in vintage masala once again – a la Manmohan Desai blockbusters – with Main Hoon Na. “The film is a blend of everything – mother and dutiful son, dying father, love, fights and comedy – you name it. In short, it is a very 1970s entertainer in essence,” says Farah Khan.

The mood, of course, is patented by music – that vital ingredient without which no Hindi film is complete. “Farah asked me to compose hummable tunes, like the songs of seventies. I tried to create such a feel,” says Anu Malik, who has composed the songs of the film that stars Suniel Shetty, Sushmita Sen, Zayed Khan and Amrita Rao along with Shah Rukh.

Of course, the Gen-Now spunk won’t go missing. Not with Shah Rukh Khan at the helm.
