Sameera Reddy has a tough feat to accomplish. First, she has to steal the thunder from sizzlers Priyanka Chopra, Riya Sen and Payal Rohatgi in her new release, the Sanjay Gupta-produced Plan... ...Secondly, she needs a miracle: Plan, her real launchpad (in case you discount Maine Dil Tujhko Diya and that cameo in Darna Mana Hai), has to hit the bull’s eye at the box-office when it releases today alongwith Paisa Vasool and Chameli.
But Sameera is diplomatic: “As an actress I can only give my best and leave the rest to viewers. In a film where you have five men in the spotlight, women essentially comprise the glamour quotient. I play a typical youngster: vibrant, cheerful and ready to take on risks.”
Sameera is tired of answering questions about her rumoured liaison with mentor Sanjay Gupta, who’s also signed her as the female lead in Musafir. “Just because of some sick minds I can’t stop working with people. I respect Sanjay, and who I am dating is no one’s business.”
Her motto: “I need to grow constantly as an actress. I’m a director’s baby, ready to take on anything that offers me substance.”
