Saif-Kareena denies undergoing sex determination test


Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor vehemently denied the report of sex determination test done in London. The couple issued a joint statement which reads that the report is a creation of someone's imagination.

The statement reads, "The report is completely baseless and the couple strongly denies any such incident. There was no such discussion with any doctor in London and the report is purely a figment of someone's imagination," spokesperson of both the actors said in a statement here. "Kareena and Saif are both mature adults and are above all this. We would like to request everyone not to unnecessary sensationalise a private issue," the spokesperson added.

It was reported yesterday that the parents-to-be are expecting a baby boy. It got confirmed when the couple carried sex determination test in London.

Sex-determination tests are illegal in India due to rampant female foeticide and infanticide, But there is no such law in the UK.

The speculations surrounding Kareena’s pregnancy also began as soon as the couple returned from their London vacation. Saif later formally announced the news in a press statement that stated, “My wife and I would like to announce that we are expecting our first child in December. We would like to thank our well-wishers for their blessings and support and also the press for their discretion and patience."

Kareena is in her second trimester and will go on maternity leave after September.

Kareena, who was last seen ‘Ki & Ka’ opposite Arjun Kapoor, will soon begin shooting for ‘Veere Di Wedding’ that also stars Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania. Incidentally, her character in the film is also shown as pregnant. The film will be co-produced by Rhea Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor and directed by ‘Khubsoorat’ maker Shashank Ghosh.
