Rani Mukherjee’s ‘Mardaani’ gets ‘A’ certificate

Rani Mukherjee’s first release post marriage titled, ‘Mardaani’ gets ‘A’ certificate. This is first Yash Raj Films to have received ‘A’ certificate. The film has received ‘A’ certificate due to some objectionable dialogues. Youngsters below the age of 12 are not advisable to watch the movie.

The censor board raised objection strongly to a politician character’s declaration, “Mera shauq (hobby) rape hai.” Based on child trafficking, in 'Mardaani', Rani Mukherjee plays the role of Shivani Shivaji Roy, an officer of the Mumbai Crime Branch unit.

Rani Mukherjee who is on promotional spree declared that her next movie would be outside Yash Raj banner. Rani said, "No, not at all. My next film will be outside the YRF banner."

Rani said she has no plans to be involved creatively with the production house.

"No, not at all. There are many capable people who take care of everything. Adi (Aditya) is at the helm and I don't think he requires anybody else. I don't want to produce or direct a film."

'Mardaani' is slated to release on August 22.
