Rani, Hrithik, Sanjay Leela Bhansali at the pre-filmfare awards bash


Rani Mukherjee dressed in an all black ensemble and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali was in white for the pre-Awards party of the 51 st Fair One Filmfare Awards. They made a perfect black ‘n’ white picture. It was a night when aspiring actors, acclaimed actors and directors hobnobbed with the whose who of Bollywood.
The host for the evening was Dr. Anuj Saxena, Director, Marketing of Elder Pharmaceuticals, sponsors of this year’s Filmfare Awards. Saxena is also a popular actor in television serials and is currently awaiting his movie debut Lips. Hrithik Roshan, looked suave and cool in a pink jacket, he entered along with Rang de Basanti actor Kunal Kapoor. A little later, the two hunks hit the dance floor and the air turned electric.

The entire Parineeta team, director Pradeep Sarkar, composer Shantanu Moitra and lyricist Swanand Kirkire all nominees were seen celebrating together. Another Best Director nominee Madhur Bhandarkar (Page 3) dropped in, as did 2003 Critics Award winner Rajkumar Hirani and Waqt Director Vipul Shah. The Abbas –Mustan director duo also attended the party, they were seen chatting with many other producers and directors.

The party also saw many Gen Next actors, like Tanishaa in a hot mini skirt, the pretty Udita Goswami, actors Jimmy Shergill and Shiney Ahuja, along with directors Mohit Suri and Apurva Lakhia. First time nominee and child artiste Shweta Prasad, was seen chatting animatedly with producer Mukhesh Bhatt. Iqbal director Nagesh Kukunoor and his co-star Shreyas Talpade also attended the party.

From the music industry, singer Alisha Chinai of Kajra re fame was seen in a red ball gown, composer Bappi Lahiri was also present in his usual glitter. Singer Alka Yagnik and composer Shravan were also present. Novices Shoojit Sircar, Mohit Ahlawat, Kunal Khemu and Upen Patel were seen soaking up the filmi atmosphere, while veterans like Jackie Shroff, Moushmi Chatterji and director Shakti Samanta compared notes.

The music went on until the wee hours of the morning and everyone was seen having a good time. It was a party that will lead to the exciting 51st Fair One Filmfare Awards, which will be held on February 25, 2006.
