Rani celebrates Diwali with boyfriend Aditya
Rani Mukherjee and Aditya Chopra’s relationship is now open in the public. The couple no longer hesitate to speak up their relationship to media or try to play hide and seek like before. The couple is planning to get hitched early next year and this could be their last diwali as a bachelor. Rani Mukherjee was caught celebrating Diwali with Yash Raj films head honcho Aditya Chopra at Aditya’s Juhu bungalow.
Dressed in violet saree with matching ornaments, Rani Mukherjee was spotted with Aditya, her mother Krishna, her sister-in-law, choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant and Karan Johar. What caught the attention most is Rani feeding Aditya with Diwali delicacy. Aditya was dressed in traditional attire, white silk kurta. Pamela Chopra was also present on the occasion and having a chat with Rani’s mother. Also spotted Rhea Pillai at the Diwali party.
Rani’s father was seating inside and enjoying the festival while her mother Krishna was seen having a great time with her grandchildren, Raja’s children.Like last year, this year too Rani played a perfect host at Aditya’s diwali party. Ponam Dhillon, Kiron Kher, Siddharth Kak were also captured on camera. Aditya who is a camera shy preferred to stay inside the house to avoid clicking.
Aditya and Rani has been dating for quite sometime. Aditya has been legally separated with his first wife Payal. The couple is rumored to walk the aisle in January.
The duo was clicked couple of times at the airport returning from a vacation. Rani and Aditya are very much in love and they are ready to settle down.
"Rani will get married in grand filmi style to Aditya Chopra in January 2014. The couple is finalising the date according to the shubh mahurat decided by Aditya’s mother Pamela in consultation with the family priest," he said. "According to Punjabi customs, no festivities or celebrations take place for a year after the death of a family member," he said.
The insider added: “Yashji fell sick during the making of the film (‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’) and the dutiful son (Aditya) took over the reigns. He was in London for the better part of the year, as was Rani. This being a big film as Chopra Sr was returning to the big screen after a long break. He wanted energies to be focused on the film and nothing else, so the wedding was put off till after the release of the film.”
“According to Punjabi customs, no festivities or celebrations take place till after a year of death of a family member. The 365 days following the demise of a close relative is called an impurity period,” the source continued. And now, with the stipulated one year coming to an end, wedding preparations in the Chopra and Mukherjee's household are reportedly in full swing.For quite a long time, rumor of Aditya Chopra and Rani Mukherjee’s impending wedding made the rounds but the duo maintained silence on this private matter.
