Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Engaged, Not!

Here comes yet another twist in Chote Kapoor and Miss Padukone. Recently Deepika was quoted that she had "happily" accepted Ranbir's proposal back in November. It was also reported that Deepika claimed that she will be "Mrs Kapoor and leading lady of Bollywood" in next five years.

However, their family members are not aware of any such engagement and marriage plans and think that Deepika was misquoted. "We are not even aware of this development and nobody has told us anything. That’s because it is just not true!" said Prakash Padukone. Ranbir's sister Riddhima claimed Ranbir was shocked to hear this news. She said "These are all stupid rumours. I don’t know where they get such bizarre news from! Deepika seems to have been misquoted and nothing of the sort has happened. Ranbir is out of India for a film shoot and he was so surprised when he heard about this. In fact, he was shocked! Both of them have a long way to go and it is just the beginning of their careers!" However, she did not rule out possibility of Ranbir and Deepika's marriage in future by saying "Marriage to bahut dur ki baat hai".

Neetu Singh, Ranbir's mother said that she does not anymore react to such rumors "...because I have gone through this myself and with my husband. I have been connected to some hero or the other."

Misquoted or not, Deepika and Ranbir have a good career ahead and are not likely to marry, soon. Right now they and Bollywood fans are looking forward to their forthcoming movie Bachna Ae Haseeno.
