Ram Charan Waited 4 Years to Work with Director Krishna Vamsi

Often in the film business filmmakers has to wait for a long time before getting dates from the stars. But in case of Telugu star Ram Charan, the trend reversed recently. The actor, who is known as the ‘Mega Power Star’, recently revealed that he has waited four years to work with director Krishna Vamsi. Ram Charan Teja was speaking at the teaser launch of his film, ‘Govindudu Andari Vadele’ directed by Krishna Vamsi.

The actor said, "This film is a four year long dream come true for me. I remember meeting Krishna Vamsi garu right after Magadheera. I was keen on doing a family entertainer with Krishna Vamsi and told him as much. But I guess he looked at me like he would look at a little kid. Since then I've been offered many good scripts that were family entertainers but somehow they never materialized. I'm glad to have finally got to work with him."

The director Krishna Vamsi was also present at the event and got emotional while speaking. He revealed that people started ignoring him after his career hit a rough patch. The director said, "Many have started to ignore me and I started to question my abilities. Then the only name I thought was my Chiranjeevi. I share a great rapport with him since 25 years", said the director, adding, "Chiru's words gave me great strength to move forward." Actor Ram Charan Teja is the son of Chiranjeevi, so it is expected that he and Krishna Vamsi has a good bond.

‘Govindudu Andari Vadele’ is expected to hit the theaters around 1st October. Kajal Aggarwal is playing the female lead opposite Ram Charan in the film. Kamalinee Mukherjee and Srikanth are also paired together. Veteran actor Prakash Raj is also playing an important role in the film. The film is being produced by Bandla Ganesh. Talented composer Yuvan Shankar Raja has been roped in to create music for the film.

While the shooting is almost complete, a fresh schedule kicked off few days ago. Shooting was halted for few days in early May when Ram Charan was down with fever. Then during the end of May, rumors began to surface that the shooting has been halted at the behest of Ram Charan’s father Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi. Apparently, Chiranjeevi was not happy with the direction of the film. However, nothing could be confirmed and the shooting resumed in June and the film has been steadily progressing ever since.
