Rajinikanth’s ‘Kabali’ leaked online
After ‘Sultan’ and ‘Great Grand Masti’, the next film in the row which leaked online is superstar Rajinikanth starrer ‘Kabali’. Before the movie hit the theatres, it is already available on websites. It is reported that ‘Kabali’ is available on 180 websites. According to a report, there are several links being flashed on net to view ‘Kabali’.
Says a source linked to the production, “We’ve contacted the authorities to pull down all these unauthorised links to the film. However, this is a Rajinikanth film. It is difficult to contain let alone control the excitement for a film starring the Thalaiva.”
The filmmakers are taking all the necessary actions to prevent the film from viewing online. They also made secret request to the Thalaiva’s fans not to watch ‘Kabali’ online rather enjoy the action on theatres.
CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) chief Pahlaj Nihalani expresses big concern over big films being leaked online. “Now, the pirates have not spared Rajinikanth either! Kabali was censored in Chennai, so it had nothing to do with our office in Mumbai. Earlier, there was Salman Khan’s Sultan. However, I don’t think collections of films with iconic stars will get affected by the leaks. It is the smaller films featuring non-A-listers, which get hit by the leaks. Great Grand Masti is a case in point.”
Directed by Pa Ranjith, ‘Kabali’ will see the superstar in the titular role of an ageing don who runs a school for the children affected by gang wars. The movie also stars Radhika Apte, Dhansika, Attakathi Dinesh, Kalaiarasan and Taiwanese actor Winston Chao.
With ‘Kabali’, Rajinikanth is returning to cinema after a
gap of one and half years. The film is slated to hit theatres on Friday, July
