Rajinikanth heading to Cannes for ‘Kochadaiyaan’ screening
If all goes according to plan then we can see South superstar Rajinikanth heading to Cannes for the screening of his upcoming movie ‘Kochadaiiyan’ in May. The organizers have arranged a special screening of the movie and the actor has been invited to launch the trailer of international version of the film.
A source says, "Rajinikanth is excited with the way Kochadaiiyan is shaping up. He recently completed dubbing for the first half of the film. Work is under progress on the second half and should be complete in the near future. Apart from the Indian versions of the film, the team has made an international version as well for audiences worldwide. The Cannes Festival will be a great occasion for the team to meet international buyers. As of now, Rajini is likely to be part of the team that will go the fest.
Murali Manohar, one of the film's producers, he said, "Yes, we will be going to Cannes as we want to promote the film to international audiences as well."
Directed by Rajini’s daughter Soundarya Ashwin, the film stars Deepika Padukone, Sarathkumar, Aadhi, Deepika Padukone, Shobana, Rukmini Vijayakumar, Jackie Shroff and Nasser. A.R. Rahman composed the music of the film and Rajiv Menon handled the cinematography. ‘Kochadaiiyan’ is being produced jointly by Eros International and Media One Global Entertainment.
