Rajinikanth flies down to Mumbai for Shahrukh Khan
Shahrukh Khan is thankful to Tamil superstar Rajinikath that despite poor health, he will be travelling all the way to Mumbai to shoot for ‘Ra.One’. At first for Rajinikanth’s convenience, the shooting was scheduled to take place at Ramoji Rao studio Hyderabad but later Rajinikanth himself decided to fly down to Mumbai and shoot his part. The Tamil actor will shoot at Subash Ghai’s Whistling Woods Studio in Mumbai.
A source revealed, "The earlier plan was to shoot at Ramoji Rao studio in Hyderabad on October 4. But Rajni sir thought Gandhi Jayanti would be a more appropriate date to resume work. He thought shooting in Mumbai made more sense since the film is in Hindi."
"The `RA.One` team thought shooting at Whistling Woods was safer, since Ghai is an old friend of Shah Rukh`s and would ensure the shoot went off smoothly," added the source.
However, Rajini’s daughter Aishwarya refuted the news of her father shooting for `RA.One`.
Even the `RA.One` team is keeping mum on this issue but Oscar Award winner sound designer Resul Pookutty confirmed Rajini’s visit. He said, "I am excited that Rajni sir will be part of Ra.One. The thought of seeing both superstars (Rajnikanth and Khan) come together in one frame is exciting."
