Priyanka Chopra ends cold war with Saif Ali Khan
Priyanka Chopra, Bollywood’s sizzling actress is going all out to end controversies around her. That’s what it seems, if the industry buzz is to be believed. The actress, who is right now busy shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s biopic on Mary Kom, may agree to a Prabhu Dheva film, where she will be seen opposite arch-rival Kareena Kapoor’s husband, Saif Ali Khan.
Besides this, in a more sisterly act Priyanka was also seen promoting cousin, Meera Chopra’s, film, on a social networking website, dispelling earlier reports in the media of her ‘cold war’ with the cousin.
According to an industry source, director Prabhu Dheva, who is currently shooting ‘Action Jackson’ with Ajay Devgn, has approached Priyanka to work opposite Saif Ali Khan in his upcoming film. This is the third occasion where Priyanka has had an opportunity to work opposite Saif. Priyanka was earlier approached to feature in two other films starring Saif but they did not work out because of ‘date issues’.
Another source was quoted saying in a report that, “PC couldn’t take on ‘Cocktail’ as she was shooting for ‘Barfi’ at that time. Similarly, when she was offered Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK’s film ‘Happy Ending’, she was busy shooting for ‘Gunday’. So she missed out on both the films and Deepika Padukone and Ileana D’Cruz were then finalised for these respective roles.” But other sources maintained that PC was not happy at all to act opposite Saif with her unending rivalry with Saif’s wife, Kareena Kapoor. But it seems, Priyanka has now decided to put an end to all that and wants to move ahead.
At the same time, although rumours talked of Priyanka’s cold-war, while cousin Meera was in Mumbai or over her silence about the promotion of Meera’s film during the screening of her film ‘Gunday’, PC was seen tweeting — to promote her cousin’s film, ‘Gang of Ghosts’, and also shared the film’s theatrical trailer and wrote this on the social networking website, “My sisters first Hindi movie! Chk it!!! (sic)”
Meera Chopra, re-tweeted the same, and according to reports in a daily, dismissed rumours of Priyanka not being supportive of her.
Meera reportedly said, “Priyanka is the only superstar in the family and she will always be the only one. I have her unconditional support. She is a girl with a golden heart and I am lucky to have her as family.”
