Priyanka Chopra rubbishes reports of her shifting base to LA
Actress Priyanka Chopra has cleared the airs surrounding the recent reports of her shifting base to Los Angeles. The actress, who is busy shooting for the second season of her American television series ‘Quantico’ in New York, took to her Twitter handle to rubbish the news and clearly stated that her home is in Mumbai.
"I really wake up to such amusing news sometimes. i am filming Quantico in nyc my home is mumbai. No LA in the pic! [sic]" Priyanka wrote on the micro-blogging site.
Priyanka has taken the West by storm and she will be making her Hollywood debut with Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron starrer movie ‘Baywatch’, which is up for release in May next year. Her performance in ‘Quantico’ has been hugely appreciated and the season two of the series is set to go on airs from September 25. Moreover, she hasn’t signed any Bollywood film despite spending over a month in India sometime back.
All these have given rise to speculations that the ‘Jai Gangaajal’ actress might be quitting Bollywood and move to the US for a few years.
A popular publication had reported that there are higher possibilities that her hit TV series 'Quantico' might be granted more seasons and if that happens then Priyanka might stay put in Los Angeles for the next five years.
“If all goes well for PC, she will be staying back in LA for the next five years, but it all depends on ‘Quantico 2’ and how well it’s received. She’s bought an apartment in LA, so she doesn’t have any staying problems too. This will also give Priyanka an opportunity to explore further work in Hollywood as it will save her time flying back-and-forth,” a source was quoted as saying in the report.
However, Priyanka has rested the rumours clearing her stance and has clearly stated that her home is in Mumbai.
