Priyanka Chopra as ‘Madamji’ in Bhandarkar’s next
After 'Fashion', Priyanka Chopra has again teamed up with ace director Madhur Bhandarkar for ‘Madamji’. All is set, Priyanka liked the script very much and she showed her keen desire to be a part of the project but the greatest barrier between Priyanka and ‘Madamji’ is dates. Priyanka is neck deep in work and she has no free time in next seven to eight months.
Priyanka is totally involved in Omung Kumar’s Mary Kom biopic and soon after that she will start shooting for Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’.
“Priyanka and Madhur had a meeting before she left
to shoot the on-going schedule of the Mary Kom biopic. She told Madhur that she
was bowled over by the script and definitely wants to be a part of the project,
but there was a hitch,” a source tells a daily.
The role is very challenging and Priyanka does not want to go it off her hand. ‘Fashion’ was the turning point of Piggy Chops career, she also won National award for her role and with ‘Madamji’, Priyanka hopes to achieve a new height.
Madamji is based on the life of an item girl-turned-politician. Madhur’s last film ‘Heroine’ with Kareena Kapoor was a disaster.
