Preity Zinta visits Vaishno Devi

To seek the blessing of god Vaishno Devi, bubbly actress Preity Zinta with her friend visited Vaishno Devi in Jammu and Kashmir. She was surrounded by many police forces. After arriving at Katra base camp, she covered the extra miles on foot. After devi darshan, she left for Delhi, informed by the sources.

Preity has diverted her path from mainstream to off-beat films and many of her non-commercial films are lined up for release and it's the right time for Preity to seek God’s blessing as she is going to venture a new arena. After Rituparno Ghosh's Last Lear, her next parallel film is Deepa Mehta's Heaven on Earth followed by Jahnu Barua’s Har Pal. She is reportedly playing cameos in Main Aur Mrs Khanna and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.

Preity is going to shed her sparkling image in Heroes directed by Samir Karnik. The script attracts her a lot as it is very challenging. She is playing a hard-core Punjabi who single-handedly bring up her son as her husband played by Salman Khan dies.  Speaking to a news daily, the director said, "Priety, who is known for her bubbly image, self worked on her body language and observed the locals to portray the demure, silent but strong woman that her character is in the film. If you ask me, I think this is one of her best performances till date."
