Preity Zinta sheds her bubbly image. She is bored singing and dancing around tress in commercial films and so she has taken a break from the mainstream cinema and concentrated on parallel, offbeat films.

After her failure in Jaan-E-Mann and Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, she has headed towards art cinema. Preity excels in the mainstream cinema and has given several hits. She had proved her potentiality in mainstream and now trying something new which she has never done before. 2008 will prove Preity’s capability of doing meaningful films, devoid of songs and dances. She has done lots of art films which will see the light of the day this year.

Har Pal directed by Jahnu Barua, Heroes directed by Samir Karnik, The Last Lear directed by Rituparno Ghosh, Heaven On Earth directed by Deepa Mehta are in the pipeline. For the first time she has got to taste some different flavor of Hindi films. Today, she is involved in various types of extra curricular activities and taking lots of interest in cricket with her beau Ness Wadia. This year will prove her excellence in various dimensions.
