Post ban on Pak actors, KJo-SRK hold secret meeting in Lisbon?

The repercussions of the Uri terror attacks are getting intense. After Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) warned all Pakistani artistes in India to leave the country or face consequences, Indian Motion Picture Producers Association has also imposed a ban on Pakistani actors working in India.

Amidst the call for ban, Karan Johar, whose upcoming directorial ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ features Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan, headed to Lisbon to meet his good friend Shah Rukh Khan, who is shooting there for Imtiaz Ali’s ‘The Ring’, according to reports.

Shah Rukh’s upcoming crime thriller ‘Raees’, which he is co-producing, also stars Pakistani actress Mahira Khan. Looks like the two friends-cum-colleagues had a secretive discussion on their future course of action, as the issue gets complex with each passing day.

Reportedly Karan set out to Lisbon to divert himself from the current controversy and calm himself down. Earlier reports suggested that Karan even landed up on the sets of the film and was planning to direct a scene. But those were rumours as he was in Lisbon for a few hours before he left for London.

Karan had earlier stated that banning Pakistani actors from working in India is not the solution to terrorism. But the director is in a fix now, following the ban of Pakistani actors and political parties threatening to stall the release of ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ which is slated to hit screens on October 28.

MNS has demanded that the Pakistani actor be replaced or his portions be chopped off from the movie. However, replacing the actor and re-shooting the movie less than a month prior to its release is next to impossible, and it is indeed a cause for worry for the filmmaker.
