The post production plans of Sanjay Gupta's Plan goes haywire with a dispute concocting between the producer and the leading actress of the film...
...The associate producer of White Feather Films, Dharam Oberoi, has filed a cheating case against the leading lady of the film – Priyanka Chopra, at the Andheri court on Wednesday. The charge is that the former Miss World has refused to give dates for the dubbing of the film thereby hindering the completion of the film scheduled for a January 2004 release.
On the other hand Priyanka has approached the Cine and Television Artists Association (CINTAA) claiming she hasn't received her complete remuneration. She alleged that 80 percent of the fee is paid before the release of the film, but she has received only 30 percent.
But again, Oberoi's complaint states that the actress had signed the film for Rs 21 lakhs and has been paid Rs 18 lakhs, so far. On the contrary, Priyanka's secretary, Prakash Jaju clarifies that the actress was paid only Rs 8 lakhs and not Rs 18 lakhs as claimed by the producers.
The final word comes from the principal producer Sanjay Gupta who asserts that like all other artists of the film, more than 80 percent had been paid to Priyanka Chopra, while the confusion was created by her secretary. He also confessed that he would like to work with the actress in future.
