Sonam Kapoor may not have received any awards for her debut in Sawariyaa. Nonetheless the pretty Kapoor lass has already moved on and is busy with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's film Dilli 6, opposite Abhishek Bachchan. Apart from films though, Sonam may also soon be seen jumping onto the brand endorsement bandwagon. However she won't be see alone in ads, as she has received several offers to do ads along with her dad, Anil Kapoor.
Anil Kapoor however has always kept away from ads and refused to sell himself as a commodity. He is one of the few actors who has stayed away from doing ads despite the heavy remuneration offered to him. Anil has kept away from ad films all these years as he feels that actors do a better job in films and he would personally prefer to be remembered for the characters he has played in his films and not for endorsing a particular brand. Anil admits that despite good remuneration he had turned down ad films but he now states, "It’s true I have always refused advertisements until now. But now I am open to them. Sonam and I have been offered a lot of ads together and I am considering them for the first time.”
So has Anil changed his beliefs for the sake of his daughter, Sonam. Now that's still a fairly sweet reason, as Anil probably wants to do anything for his dearest daughter and feels it will be worthwhile. Anil and Sonam have not yet finalised any particular brands that they will endorse as Anil is still considering which brands he is comfortable associating his name with. Meanwhile the brands endorsed by this father-daughter duo, will definitely have an added advantage of targeting different generation and age groups. So no doubt the brand which is endorsed by them will definitely stand to benefit. Despite his daughter making her debut in the film industry, Anil continues to be a part of this film industry. He will soon be seen as one of the leads in Subhash Ghai's film Black and White and Abbas-Mustan's Race.
