Not Ash, Sonya to play Abhishek’s lady
At first Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was to play Abhishek’s one among his three ladies in Abhinay Deo’s ‘Crooked’ but later due to dates problem, he has opted out and the advantage went to Pakistani actress Sonya Jehan. Sonya is not new to Bollywood she has acted in films like ‘Khoya Khoya Chand’, ‘Taj Mahal’ and also cast in ‘My Name Is Khan’. She is the granddaughter of famous actress and singer Noor Jehan.
“For Abhishek and Ash, the whole charm of doing another film together was to not be together. Crooked was supposed to cast them not as a pair, but in different segments,” says a very reliable source.
Speaking about Sonya, producer Ritesh said, “But I can’t reveal what she’s playing. She’s tremendously beautiful and talented and suited the part she has been chosen for. We won’t call the film ‘Crooked’, though. That was the working title. And we’re looking for a new title urgently before the working title sticks.”
The other three actresses of the film are Sarah, Shahana Goswami and Gul Panag.
