New Stills: New bride Rani Mukherjee on the set of ‘Mardaani’

Known for her acting prowess, Rani Mukherjee will be next seen in YRF’s ‘Mardaani’, directed by Pradeep Sarkar of ‘Parineeta’ fame. This is Rani’s first film post marriage to Yash Raj head honcho Aditya Chopra.

The first look of the film was released which shows Rani holding a pistol in hand and a bleeding man at the backdrop. Few new stills from ‘Mardaani’ set were released which shows Rani dressed in casual denim shirt and trousers practicing some action sequences with the fight master.

Rani Mukherjee has an important role to play in the film and the actress is going extra mile to enact her character with sheer perfection.

Rani Mukherjee plays Shivani Shivaji Roy, a police officer with the Mumbai Crime Branch who is fearless and ready to take up any challenges and never leaves the criminal without teaching a good lesson. The film carries the  tagline 'every war is personal'.

Rani seems to have shed lots of weight to get into the role. The film is set for August 22 release.

‘Mardaani’ is apparently based on a real-life lady police officer from Mumbai crime branch, who solved several cases of child trafficking in the city. The team are secretive about every detail of the movie.
