Neetu Chandra to leave for the US to shoot her debut American series
After Priyanka Chopra and Nimrat Kaur, another Bollywood actress is all set to make her mark in American television. Neetu Chandra, who has featured in films like ‘Garam Masala’, ‘Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!’, ‘Traffic Signal’ etc. has reportedly signed for a role in an American tele-series.
The actress who has been missing from the Bollywood scene for quite some time, will be leaving for the US next month for her maiden American TV series.
Speaking to a leading daily, Neetu said that she considers herself as a global actor and was looking forward to an amazing experience.
“I am happy for my upcoming project in LA (Los Angeles) as it will be the first time I am doing a TV series. I was very excited after reading the script and I am eagerly looking forward to an amazing experience. I consider myself a global actor and hence would like to take up more work in Hollywood and American television,” she told the Hindustan Times.
Neetu, however, didn’t reveal any more details about her American series, the shooting for which will begin in August.
The report quotes a close source to the actress as saying, “Neetu will be travelling to the US?in the first week of August. She will be shooting the pilot episode of the show. The team was on the lookout for an Indian actor, who looked both vulnerable and edgy at the same time and Neetu was thrilled when she got to know that she has bagged the role.”
Neetu had earlier got an opportunity to work in a Greek film titled ‘Home Sweet Home’. There is also buzz that the actress will be part of a Hollywood film directed by Joe Johnston of ‘Jumaji’ and ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’ fame.
