My son Ishaan had a small role in ‘Kai Po Che’, Chetan Bhagat
For author Chetan Bhagat’s ‘Kai Po Che’ is very special to him. Not that the film is based on his famous novel, “The 3 Mistakes Of My Life’ but more that the movie ‘Kai Po Che’ is special to him for his son Ishaan. His eight years old son Ishaan made his acting debut with the film.
‘Kai Po Che’ featuring Sushant Singh Rajput, Amit Sadh and Raj Kumar Yadav in prominent roles hit the screens worldwide today and director Abhishek Kapoor is very ecstatic and looking forward to the film’s success. Today is a big day for Abhishek Kapoor and he tweeted a few minutes ago: "Finally..the day has arrived. the moment of truth.. Team #kaipoche.. this is it!!"
Chetan Bhagat quipped about his son's acting debut, "They needed an eight-year-old boy for a very crucial role in the film. I have twin sons Ishaan and Sham and Ishaan has played a small role in the film. Abhishek has honoured an author and a father by this".
"Abhishek made Ishaan perform for at least 35 times as he is quite a perfectionist. This is a very special film for me as a father," he added.
However, movies will come later for Chetan’s kids' as education still remains top priority for the author.
"Both me and my wife are educated. Our priority will always be their education then later they can make their own choice," Bhagat said.
‘Kai Po Che’ is based on the life of three close friends Ishaan, Omi and Govind. They were very energetic and ambitious. Amrita Puri is the only female lead in the movie.
