‘My Name Is Khan’ rocks UK box office


Karan Johar’s and Shahrukh Khan, Kajol starrer film, ‘My Name Is Khan’ not only boomed the Indian box office but also set a record to be the biggest ever opening Bollywood film at the UK box office by making 936,000 pound in the fourth day.

The film has a wide release in the overseas market with 129 screens at 91 sites across the UK. The film has dethroned Karan Johar’s last release 'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna'. It has a record of 749,000. MNIK is a major Bollywood release in UK and stole the heart of the people of UK.

It is one of the biggest Bollywood release in Hollywood and was released by 20th Century Fox, the biggest marketing and distribution company.

"Expanding our distribution network into the Bollywood arena has been a challenging and exciting experience. We are very fortunate to be working alongside the best possible talent associated with Bollywood," said Andrew Turner Director of Sales at Twentieth Century Fox, the global distributors of the movie.
