Mubarakan: Arjun Kapoor woos Ileana in recreated song ‘Hawa Hawa’

After unveiling the ‘Mubarakan’ title track featuring the primary cast of the film – Anil Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor’s twins, Athiya Shetty and Ileana D’Cruz, the second song of the upcoming comedy dropped online on Thursday, June 29.

Arjun, who plays a double role of Karanveer Singh and Charanveer Singh in the movie, also shared the song on his Twitter handle by posting, “Lo phaela diya raita.”

The song is picturised on Arjun’s London-based character Karan and Ileana. The two actors are seen grooving to the song in their inimitable styles as Arjun tries to woo Ileana to be his girlfriend.

‘Hawa Hawa’ is a revised version of Pakistani artiste Hasan Jahangir's popular 80s’ track of the same name. It is a peppy number with upbeat music by Gourov-Rohsin, with the lyrics penned by Kumaar, borrowing only the opening line. Mika Singh and Prakriti Kakkar have lent their vocals to the energetic song.

‘Mubarakan’ has been directed by Anees Bazmee who has previously made the audience laugh with his hit comedies like ‘No Entry’, ‘Welcome’, ‘Singh Is Kinng’, ‘Ready’ etc. The upcoming comic caper also stars Ratna Pathak, Rahul Dev and Pavan Malhotra, and is scheduled to hit the screens on July 28.
