Mohenjo Daro: Hrithik romances fun-loving Pooja in ‘Sarsariya’ song
After ‘Tu Hai’ and title song ‘Mohenjo Mohenjo’, the makers of ‘Mohenjo Daro’ have released the video of a third track titled ‘Sarsariya’ on Monday. It is a catchy romantic song in the vocals of Shashaa Tirupati and Shashwat Singh.
Music maestro A.R Rahman has composed the song, while Javed Akhtar has penned the lyrics. The song opens in a different language, before Hindi verses come to play.
The video of the song features Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde romancing each other in the markets and by-lanes of the ancient city of Mohenjo Daro. Pooja, who plays the role of a princess named Channi in the film, is seen as a fun-loving girl running about beating drums, making foot-prints with colourful dyes and dancing joyfully. The lead pair is also seen riding upon a bullock cart and the two actors share adorable chemistry.
Hrithik will be seen in the role of a farmer named Sarman in the epic adventure-romance. The film brings together Hrithik and National Award winning director Ashutosh Gowariker for the second time after their 2008 historical drama ‘Jodha Akbar’. Pooja will make her Bollywood debut with the film.
Set in the backdrop of pre-historic era of Indus Valley Civilization, ‘Mohenjo Daro’ also features Kabir Bedi, Suhasini Mulay, Arunoday Singh, Manish Chaudhary Narendra Jha and Nitish Bharadwaj among others. It has been co-produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur of UTV Motion Pictures and Sunita Gowariker of Ashutosh Gowariker Productions Pvt. Ltd.
The film is scheduled to release on August 12.
