Miffed Prakash Jha lodges complaint against imposter

Miffed by the imposter, who claimed to be his son, director Prakash Jha lodged a complaint in police stations in Kolkata and Patna. The person, called himself Presenjit Jha, as he tried to draw money from sponsors for a grand promotion of Prakash Jha’s upcoming movie ‘Satyagraha’ in Kolkata and Patna.

The fraud falsely promised people of organizing a grand promotion of ‘Satyagraha’ on 14th August. He drew money from people for this promotion. The imposter told people that a promotion would be organized in a five star hotel and would be attended by Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Manoj Bajpai andPrakash Jha.

It was also revealed that the imposter also roped in a few sponsors for the alleged promotional event.

When Praksh Jha was contacted, he revealed that he has got only one daughter and has no son. He confirmed that the imposter was actually cheating people. He said, “I have asked my officials to lodge police complaints in Kolkata as well in Patna.”

The complaints are lodged at Bhawanipur police station in Kolkata and at Shri Krishnapuri police station in Patna.

The complaint said that a person claiming himself as Prakash Jha’s son had announced to organize an event on 14th August for the alleged promotion of ‘Satyagraha’.

The sources said, “But, due to timely intervention the fraud was detected and everybody warned of the cheating and the so-called event was cancelled on August 14.”

In order to win the trust of people, the imposter also revealed few facts related to the movie and the personal life of Prakash Jha. He said that Prakash Jha was planning to advance the date of the release of the movie as Jha’s mother was not keeping well. But the truth is that Prakash Jha’s mother passed away two decades back. The imposter also used the letterhead of Jha’s TV channel ‘Maurya TV’ in order to generate and collect funds for advertisement.

An annoyed Prakash Jha said, “in fact the person has also hired a PR agency and has been picking up funds in my name. It is a case of harming my reputation.”

The incident was quite shocking for the entire crew of the movie ‘Satyagraha’. It is a political thriller movie starring Amitabh Bachchan, Arjun Rampal, Ajay Devgn, Manoj Bajpai, Kareena Kapoor and Amrita Rao. The movie will hit theaters on 30th August. The crew of this movie is busy with promotions of the movie.
