Manohar Parrikar takes a dig at Aamir Khan over 'Intolerence' remark
So many months passed but it seems Aamir Khan’s ‘intolerance’ controversy is not ready to die down. Again the issue has been raised and talked about by none other than our Defence Minister Manohar Parriker. At a book release function in Pune, Parriker lashes out at Aamir Khan for his intolerance remark.
"An actor had said his wife was afraid of living in this country.... How does someone dare to talk about this country? If anyone speaks like this, he has to be taught the lesson of his life," the minister had said while speaking at a book release function in Pune.
"It was an arrogant statement. However poor my family is, however small my house is, I have to love my house," he had added.
In December 2015, at Ramnath Goenka Awards, award function Aamir Khan remarked that he is worried about growing intolerance in the country. He further added that his wife Kiran Rao is apprehensive about raising a child in India.
Manohar Parriker’s comment on Aamir Khan did not go well the Congress man and Mr Parrikar was given a befitting reply by senior party leader Randeep Singh Surjewala.
He tweeted#"Shameful that @manoharparrikar threatens 'teaching a lesson' to 'actors', instead of training his guns elsewhere."
#Shocking revelation by @manoharparrikar that BJP supporters actively disrupted, sabotaged Snapdeal on Aamir Khan issue. Scandalous!
