Manna Dey passes away at 94
Legendary singer Manna Dey who gave a new language to music breathed his last in Bangalore after a prolonged illness. For the last couple of months, he made frequent visit to hospital. He was recently admitted to Hrudayalaya institute in Bangalore. He passed away at 3:50 am in the morning. He was 94.
The singer was suffering from lung infection and was undergoing treatment. The Dadasaheb Phalke winner gave many hit songs to Bollywood which include 'Puchho na kaise maine rain bitayee', 'Ay mere pyare watan, ay mere bichhade chaman' and 'Laga chunari main daag', to name a few from the long list.

Deb in Kalyan Nagar, East Bangalore.
He sang songs in different Indian languages — notably Bengali, Assamese, Gujrati and Malayalam. He captivated many hearts with his soulful music.
He left away but Manna Dey will always remain in our heart through his exceptional piece of work that he left behind for us to remember him and cherish throughout.
