Manisha to go to the US for cancer treatment
Manisha Koirala has been a great asset to the Hindi film Industry. She is a skilled actress and has numerous numbers of good films to her credit. She started her journey into films with a Nepali film. She comes from a renowned political family of Nepal. She has done films in various languages but has been most prominently recognized in the Hindi film industry.
Her first ventured into Bollywood films was in the year 1991, which was titled “Saudagar” that proved to be the biggest film of the year. She is associated with some of the most critically acclaimed films, like “Akele Hum Akele Tum”, “1942: A Love Story”, “Bombay”, “Khamoshi”, “Dil se”, “Mann” and “Kachche Dhaage”. Her latest has been Ram Gopal Verma’s “Bhoot Returns”.
The actress recently has been in the news for a very perturbing development. She has been diagnosed with cancer of late. She had been admitted to a nursing home in Mumbai named “Jaslok Hospital”. She got discharged this Friday after a three-day stay there, and will be heading to the USA for her treatment. She had been admitted to the nursing home on Wednesday after she fell unconscious.
The actress’s sister-in-law declared in the media “We are planning to go to the United States. We haven't decided on the hospital yet. The family is still trying to figure things out.”
However, she refused to divulge any further information on the kind of illness Manisha has been suffering from. At the Jaslok Hospital Manisha has had to undergo a number of medical tests and examinations that later detected her with cancer. But the officials of the hospital have refused to divulge any news on her ailment.
The spokesperson of the hospital, Krishnakant Dasyam revealed “Manisha was discharged from the hospital on Friday morning at 9am and she is doing fine.” He also stated, “She has requested the hospital to keep details of her health confidential.”
Her treatment at the nursing home was conducted by Dr Suresh Advani, who is the director of medical Oncology.
She was seen in public for the last time at the premiere of the film “Life of Pi” and at the 14th Mumbai Film Festival.
However, as these reports have been
doing the rounds with full force Manisha has not broken her silence on it. A
source who is a family member of the actress revealed, “There are no
confirmations about the reports circulating about Manisha’s health.”
