Manisha Koirala, on the path to recovery
Manisha Koirala had been diagnosed with ovarian cancer last year. She is in the US for her chemotherapy sessions and is currently recovering. In November 2012, the actress was admitted to Jaslok Hospital in Mumbai for the medical tests, where the ailment was confirmed. After she was diagnosed with cancer, she immediately flew off to the US for treatment.
She recently tweeted pictures of herself with family and friends, and this is her way of saying that she is not giving in to cancer. She has been spotted feasting with her family and friends on various occasions. Although, she is always spotted with a turban or a hat covering her head, she looked happy and cheerful.
Manisha had earlier said, “Dear friends thank you for all your wishes... I m in good place n in good hands..with all your love n prayers I'm sure I'll recover...it was shocking to know but then life is full of surprises...one must deal with it n move on with faith n dignity. whatever is the outcome it’s for best..I know that...so pl don't worry...I have had a beautiful life so far n I know, whatever will happen will all be good...thank you from bottom of my heart for your prayers...love m koirala (sic).”
She has been dealing with the situation very positively, and is on the road to recovery. She was spotted walking on the streets of New York with a coffee mug in her hand. She is expected to stay in the US for another 6 months, and her mother and brother are by her side.
Just a few days back, she tweeted, “Great start of the day..doing things with in control..exercise,eating healthy, reading inspiring book, being with family and friends, watching fun films, meditating and praying..”
Coming from a politically prominent family in Nepal, Manisha Koirala is best known for her roles in Hindi films like ‘Bombay’, ‘Saudagar’, ‘Dil Se’, ‘Mann’ and ‘1942: A Love Story’. Her last release was Ram Gopal Verma’s ‘Bhoot Returns’. The actress plans on recovering completely before coming to Mumbai and start her career again. She is looking forward to Deepti Naval’s directorial debut, ‘Do Paise Ki Dhoop Chaar Aaane Ki Baarish’.
Deepti Naval has been by her side throughout, and they plan to
release the film once Manisha is completely fine and is back in Mumbai. Manisha
Koirala and Deepti Naval have been close friends for a long time now.
