Mallika Sherawat to go traditional at the Cannes film festival
Mallika Sherawat shared the news on twitter that she will be wearing designer Manish Tripathi’s creation at forthcoming Cannes International film festival. The actress is so excited that she has posted a sketch of the outfit. It is a white flowing lehenga teamed an elaborate and stylised blouse.

For the past few years, the ‘Murder’ actress has been regular at the Cannes film festival. This year also the actress is heading to the international film festival. Malika has been invited to inaugurate the CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) Pavilion during the gala event.
Mallika is highly excited to be a part of the event. The ‘Myth’ actress said, “Feeling honoured to be invited to inaugurate the CII Pavilion at the Cannes Film Festival 2014,”
Mallika will be sharing the platform along with H.E. Mr. Arun Kumar Singh, Indian Ambassador to France and Mr Ashok Amritraj, Hollywood Producer and Chairman, CII Cannes Initiative.
The session will also include celebrities like Mr. Resul Pookutty, Oscar winning Sound Designer, Mr Jerome Paillard, Executive Director, Marche Du Film, Ms Aditi Das Rout, Director General, Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC) and Mr. Sudhir Mishra, Film Maker.
Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is a great platform where Indian and international filmmakers share the same dais and exchange views. It is the twelfth consecutive year and the event will kick start from 14 - 23 May 2014. Indian state governments, film makers and services experts will be part of the booth space and CII's aim is to get maximum business for the Indian Media and Entertainment industry by facilitating global opportunities.
This will be Mallika Sherawat's 5th year at the Cannes film festival. The actor will soon be seen in CBS hit series Hawaii Five-O and in Bollywood movie, ‘Fauj Mein Mauj’.
