Madhuri’s ‘Gulab Gang’ trailer to come with ‘Dedh Ishqiya’

The one time queen of Indian silver screen Madhuri Dixit has been missing from action for quite some time now. Her come back film ‘Aaja Nachle’ in the year 2007 sunk at the box office without a trace. The film pundits even started predicting the end of road for her in the tinsel town. The logic is easily understandable too. The young Madhuri was the heart throb of the nation and a style icon. However the married actress after such a long time cannot expect to regain her place or play the bubbly heroine anymore.

Madhuri therefore chose roles which were though central to the film, were not the usual portrayal of the Hindi film heroines where they dance around the trees. Her selected characters are much more substantial and deals with issues other than the matter of the heart.

The fans of Madhuri Dixit have the reasons to rejoice this Friday. After a long time Madhuri’s film ‘Dedh Ishqiya’ is releasing across the halls in India. She will appear on the big screen after seven long years. Along with Madhuri Dixit, the film stars veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah, talented Arshad Warsi and the beautiful newcomer Huma Qureshi.

The Madhuri fans will be treated with the trailers of her other forthcoming film ‘Gulab Gang’ along with the movie ‘Dedh Ishqiya’. As a promotional strategy the makers of ‘Gulab Gang’ has decided to release the theatrical trailers of the film with the release of ‘Dedh Ishqiya’. ‘Gulab Gang’ is planned to release on 7th March 2014.

Soumik Sen has directed the ‘Gulab Gang’. It is co-produced by Sahara Movie Studios, Anubhav Sinha and Bharat Shah. The movie portrays the real life story of a women activist group that operates in Bundelkhand area and fights for the empowerment of women.  The role of Madhuri Dixit in the film is based on fearless activist Sampat Pal Devi. Other than Madhuri Dixit, Juhi Chawla will also be seen portraying an important role in the film. Incidentally this is the first time that the two actresses have come together to act in a film.

The posters of the film have already released. Madhuri looks fearful in the poster and her appearance almost reminds one of the home grown super hero genre comics character. It looks good and drives the point home that her character in the film will be fighting against the evil of the society.
