Madhuri still unsure about playing Indira Gandhi

Known for her vibrant beauty and smile, the dhak-dhak lady Madhuri Dixit said that she has not yet decided to play Indira Gandhi. She accepted the news that she was approached to play the role of former PM of India but still unsure about playing the character. Days back, the gossip column hit with the report that Asian-American filmmaker Krishna Shah has approached Madhuri Dixit to play the most powerful woman of the country.

"Yes, Shah did meet me [at Dixit's residence in Denver, USA], with the script. I read it and I am really impressed with the research he has done. I consider Indira Gandhi my idol, so it would be a privilege to play her.

"But I haven't agreed yet as I need to sort out a lot of other issues. My secretary, Rikku Rakeshnath, is figuring that out." Shah is so keen on casting Dixit that he took a computer imaging of the actress as Indira Gandhi with him when he went to meet her.

Shah has written the script keeping Madhuri in mind and he is so keen in casting her that when he visited Madhuri, he took with him a computer imaging of the actress.

Abhay Deol, Dharmendra and Nana Patekar are also in the signing list.
