Madhuri Dixit to play Amrapali


Bollywood ‘Dhak Dhak’ lady Madhuri Dixit denied playing former PM Indira Gandhi but she is rumored to play the historical dancer Amrapali. Madhuri Dixit has always been a terrific dancer. Apart from acting, she is best remembered as a dynamic dancer. Flaunting the particular skill of Madhuri, choreographer Farah Khan is planning to produce a Broadway show based on Amrapali with Madhuri playing the lead.

Saroj Khan added that talks are on and if everything works in the proper order soon their plan will be implemented. She even said that they are planning for Broadway show as Amrapali is very famous abroad. Feroze Khan will direct it and Javed Akhtar will provide the lyrics.

If we recall, Saroj Khan choreographed some of Madhuri’s hit numbers like “Ek Do Teen” from Tezaab, “Chane Ke Khet” from Anjaam and “Dola Re” from Devdas.
