Lakme Fashion Week- mix of showbiz and creativity
Putting across a heady mix of glamour, fashion and stylish creativity, Lakme Fashion week happens to be one of the usual events of the fashion circuit. To showcase, the trends and exuberance of glamorous swathe, the fashionable platform is thrown open twice yearly. Upholding a stylish array of scintillating creations, the Lakme Fashion Week of 2012, includes dazzling swathes of more than eighty designers. With numerous designer pieces in the offing, the grand finale made for a spectacular presentation.
The final day saw the dusky Amrita take the ramp. Donning one of Archana Kochar’s unique creations, the spontaneous beauty added to the sizzling sensuality of the startling ramp. The flowing robe of pearl white with layers of patchwork, the glitzy model cum actress had loads to convey in terms of glamour and fashion. With dollops of simplicity and that of poise, Amrita illustrated how to add to the calculation of style.
The style quotient of Sonakshi Sinha was equally startling as well. Draping a traditional wear of the ‘Karmic’ brand, the hot and successful Sonakshi Sinha chose to shape out her style statement. The bubbly, big eyed glamour girl was also seen donning the designer drape of Archana Kochar
The show graced by star, starlets and ravishing names from the glitzy world of fashion modeling also included Vidya Malvade.
The handsome hunk Mimo Chakraborty was one of its glamour struck entrants.
The cool and budding Prateik Babbar was seen taking the ramp for the promising designer brand of Masaba Gupta. The young and budding designer had an interesting twist to offer to the traditionally common Indian wear. The masculine wear of ‘dhoti’ had taken on a pant like look and Prateik upheld the same with his gutsy demeanor.
The shimmering quotient of Sonam Kapoor was something worth watching out for. With pearly touch doing up the dress of white, Sonam put across the designer input of Frida Kahlo. The actress looked suave and soothing in her white garb and matching accessories.
Frida Kahlo was also upheld by the sultry and bold Neha Dhupia.
No fashion display of Indian origin can be meaningfully completed without the sizzling statement of the Bong bombshell. This time round, the enthusiastic Bips had come to uphold the fashion statement of Rocky S- a promising designer and one of her special friends.
